Frequently Asked Questions

  • Rome, the Eternal City, has everything that you’d want from an urban elopement destination.

It's the perfect place for couples who appreciate art, culture, and history and want to make this part of their special day. You won’t find coastal views or mountain views, but you will find gorgeous architectural hideouts, ancient architecture, and ancient ruins. Can’t stop thinking about the Roman Empire? Neither can we!

With so many unique hidden spots, incredible restaurants, and lively culture, Rome feels like a truly special place for an elopement.

  • The climate in Rome is Mediterranean, which means short, mild winters and hot, dry summers. Meaning, your elopement in Rome is completely up to you—you can enjoy an elopement any time of year! But note that Rome tends to be quite busy in the summer (June–September), so if you’d like to avoid the crowds, consider going between October and May. While you might need a jacket or a coat, the temperatures rarely dip below freezing.

  • We will send you the schedule of your day around two weeks before your elopement or intimate wedding in Rome.

Every couple's elopement timeline is different, depending on the location, season, and time of day, but generally speaking, the ceremony is usually around 20 minutes long, and we will have to factor in the duration of the photoshoot.

The whole experience usually lasts a minimum of 4 hours, but we recommend keeping the whole day available in case plans unexpectedly change. The best outdoor lighting happens in the two hours around sunrise and sunset, so we usually recommend that the elopement ceremony is held close to then.

  • Although you might have the instinct to get a car, driving around Rome is very hectic, and the roads tend to be full of traffic jams. Although public transport includes buses, trams, trains, and taxis, the best way to actually get around Rome is definitely the metro (lines A and B connect the city well, while line C always seems to be under construction).

If you’d like to rent e-scooters, bikes, or motorcycles, as well as find a taxi nearby, Free Now is a good app to download.
