Elopements in Italy - FAQs

  • With over 64 million visitors, Italy is the fifth most-visited country in the world, and for a good reason. By eloping to Italy you’ll be able to enjoy breathtaking landscapes, mouthwatering food, friendly people, and an unlimited array of culture. We would highly recommend it!

  • The cost of an Italian elopement usually ranges between €5,000 and +€10,000, depending on the location, season, and add-ons.

This is, however, still significantly cheaper than traditional weddings, which average around €40,000.

  • For an affordable Italian elopement, consider overlooked gems like Sicily, Matera, Apulia, and Langhe. For a magical blend of beach and old-world charm, Sicily offers plenty of budget-friendly elopement settings away from the Palermo crowds in towns like Cefalù or Erice.

The magical caves of Matera provide a uniquely romantic backdrop you won't find elsewhere in Europe, without the tourist mobs and high prices of Venice or Florence. And if you're a James Bond fan, you'd be especially happy to learn that the movie No Time to Die was filmed in Matera.

Apulia, located in the Italian "heel" boasts charming coastal towns like Polignano a Mare and ancient olive groves, all while still flying under the tourist radar.

Finally, if you're looking to elope to Italy on a budget, consider escaping to the rolling vineyards of Langhe, where you can feast on world-class wines and truffles for a fraction of Amalfi Coast prices. With their authentic charm at wallet-friendly rates, these unique Italian locales let you celebrate your love without breaking the bank.

  • Italy experiences all four seasons. The spring is usually breezy and very pleasant, summers are hot and humid, autumn tends to be enjoyable yet rainy autumn, and while winters and dry and cold.

  • Unless you’re looking for a city escape such as Rome or Venice, traveling by car is the easiest way to get around Italy. There are plenty of car hire and private transfer companies available. Using taxis can be convenient but might get expensive if used for the entire trip.

If you want, we would be more than happy to arrange a private driver for your special day.

  • In Italy, we offer both, elopement packages and our premium service. Besides having everything that’s included in the elopement package, our premium service involves a completely customizable elopement with a 2-day photoshoot, premium venue rental, art direction, and more!
