A Match Made in Heaven

New York couple Lindsey and Al share a love of travel, dancing, and fashion and they planned an elopement that would incorporate all of these, for a very special day. After Al’s romantic surprise proposal at their apartment with wine and roses, he swept her off to California the following day and they planned to elope in Granada, Spain.

In June 2019 Al and Lindsey arrived in Granada and on the day of their elopement, they spent the morning relaxing at their hotel, La Bobadilla. While Lindsey went to get in ready in her room and change into her dress, Al sat at the bar for a classic Manhattan, oozing style and class, and calming his nerves.

When it was time, Al waited at the top of the staircase where they did their first look. Lindsey arrived and ascended the stairs, tapping Al on the shoulder and he turned to see his gorgeous bride for the first time. The joy of seeing each other all dressed up and ready to celebrate their wedding day was written all over their faces!

Lindsey and Al had a ceremony close by, they said their “I do’s” and sealed their promises with a kiss, before leaving the resort to travel into the Andalusian countryside. They arrived at a beautiful location and they read out the personal vows that they had written to each other. As the sun set, they listened to music and danced as they celebrated their marriage. Before dusk set in, they made their way back to the hotel to enjoy an intimate and romantic al fresco dinner. For them, it was the perfect way to begin their life together and adventure into their future as a married couple.

“This couple wanted an intimate wedding experience, but they wanted to include family somehow. They eloped in Granada, Spain just the two of them but had a celebratory evening with family and friends when they went back to New York. They shared photos and videos from their elopement day so friends and family could share their experiences. There are a lot of ways to let family and friends be a part of your marriage even if you’re eloping on your own.” – Emily Kidd
