Jillian and Brian met in high school when he was a freshman and she was a senior. Brian still clearly remembers sitting on the courtyard stairs at lunch with friends on the first day of school when Jill approached them. Brian though: “she was very beautiful, very cool and out of my league”, but quickly they became friends. Both of them were sarcastic and quick so they enjoyed teasing each other, but they also shared a love of music. Those two things became the roots in a relationship that would grow slowly but strong over time.

In the early 2010's, Jill and Brian started playing in bands together. While at this point they still weren't dating, the experience brought them closer together. They spent a lot of time writing music, practicing, performing, and traveling. It was during these years that Brian truly fell in love with Jill. In 2019 they travelled to Montreal to perform at a music festival. During the trip they realised that like it or not, their relationship had outgrown friendship. They decided to take a big leap and began dating.

Although they fit together like a glove, the first couple of years of their relationship had its challenges. They had to navigate a global pandemic, career challenges, plus they also moved in with each other and it took them both a bit to adjusting to that change. They managed to adjust, communicate, and grow together through it all. Brian asked Jill to marry him in September of 2021 and Jill said yes. “I'd been fantasising about that moment for over 10 years” told Brian to our wedding planners. “Some days over the course of those 10 years it felt like it would only ever be a fantasy, but other days it felt like destiny. Now I get to fantasise about our future.”

Jill and Brian reached out to Somewhere Crazy with a dream of a fun elopement in Barcelona that would truly reflect their unique and fun personalities as a couple. Acting as their dedicated wedding elopement planner, our wedding planners meticulously organized the wedding day timeline and assembled a dream team of local vendors to ensure every detail was perfect. The couple exchanged their heartfelt vows in the picturesque Park Ciutadella, surrounded by their closest family members.

After the intimate wedding ceremony, the couple joyfully explored this vibrant Spanish city, laughing and having fun at every turn. Their infectious energy and love were beautifully captured by our talented videographer, Punto y Coma, and the skilled photographer, Anna Svobodova.
