Liza and Ryan decided to elope in Lake Como, a stunning elopement destination in Italy, perfect for those couples who like elegant, classy, glam-style elopements. Lake Como is truly a beautiful destination, full of historic villas, beautiful nature, and world-renowned restaurants.

Liza and Ryan met back in high school where they were friends but admittedly both had a little spark for each other. They continued their lives in different directions but reconnected in 2016, which is when they became inseparable. The love for each other quickly grew into something beautiful and everlasting. The couple initially talked about having a traditional wedding but it didn't take long into their planning process that they found it all too big, expensive, and exhausting. And so they decided to elope!

They contacted Somewhere Crazy with a good idea of what they wanted - they wanted to elope in Italy, in their words "one of the most beautiful and romantic countries in the world". After talking to our wedding planner, Lara, an Italian expert, and based on their style, they agreed that Lake Como is absolutely perfect for what they're looking for, so we got to work and started planning their ideal wedding.

They decided to have their wedding in the afternoon, as the evening golden hour tends to be quite magical by the lake. The makeup artist arrived at their accommodation at 1 pm and stayed for 3 hours to make sure that the bride and groom looked and felt their best. At 4 pm they were joined by the on-the-day coordinator and the world-renowned photographer who started taking pictures of the excited couple. After the getting-ready and the first-look photos, they all proceeded to Villa Melzi where they said their loving vows. After the beautiful wedding ceremony, the couple and our Dream Team headed to Loppia where we had a boat reserved for the newlyweds. The boat took them to Verenna to take some additional wedding shots and then took them back to Bellagio for Dinner at Alle Darsene di Loppia. The couple told our team that it’s a day that they will cherish forever and we're beyond grateful to be able to be part of their wedding day.
