“When I saw her at the gym around May of 2023, I thought she was the cutest thing ever,” said Rob. Hence, we quickly jumped to the assumption that she was seeing someone else. One day, he finally got up the courage to say hi to Shay and asked her if she wanted to stretch in front of the mirror at the gym, and to his surprise she said yes. The next day he tried again and the couple exchanged their names. A few days later, Shay came up to Rob and said, "Hello Rob, is that right?”. Then for some reason, they both left the gym at the same time, and Rob made it a point to ride the elevator with Shay even if it was just for a brief ride. One day, he finally decided to ask Shay to dinner on a Friday night, but she said no, saying that she had to study on Friday. “However,” she said, “you could take me out on Saturday”. Then, after making him wait two weeks to take her out once more, the couple became inseparable.

“He has supported me through one of the worst times in my career in medical school,” said Shay. She had just failed an important exam Rob had shown her incredible support. He showed her that it wasn’t her career that kept him in her life and that no matter what, he was not going anywhere. He stood by Shay through all the stress of medical school and went through it like it was his own.

Their beautiful relationship was full of special moments that led the couple to get engaged. They traveled together to many places in a short time. They traveled to Georgia, Nashville, Connecticut, Pittsburg, and Ocean City, enjoying every single moment together. From the party craze and fun nights in Pittsburg to the peaceful and work-filled moments in Nashville and Ocean City. Shay and Rob have continued to show up for each other, be present, and enjoy this ride we call life together. And so, determined to get married, they reached out to Somewhere Crazy.

They knew they wanted to get married in Italy and after speaking to our wedding planner who asked them about their aesthetics and preferences, they soon decided to elope in the north of Italy, in Lake Garda. They wanted to stay somewhere very special, so we helped organize their accommodation at the one and only Villa del Sogno, which was also where the couple decided to have their wedding ceremony. They shared their vows with each other while standing next to the beautiful and iconic lake. They then headed down to the gardens with the photographer, where they took a few more stunning shots as a newly wedded couple. Afterward, our wedding planner organized a boat ride for the couple so they could see the magic of Lake Garda and Isola de Garda and celebrated with a bottle of champagne. They then took a boat ride back to their accommodation where they had a beautiful celebratory meal after their elopement. The couple continued their adventure by visiting Switzerland and Rome for their honeymoon before heading back to The States and starting a new life together.
