Dramatic elopement on Roque Nublo - Gran Canaria

Natalia + Nicolas

Gran Canaria, Spain

Photography: El Momento Perfecto

Natalia and Nicolas were thirsty for adventure and were looking for an elopement destination that they could enjoy even outside of the peak months. Combining their adventurous spirit and our detailed knowledge of fabulous elopement destinations in Europe, the couple soon decided to elope in Gran Canaria - the biggest island of the Canary Islands. Gran Canaria is located just off the coast of Africa, offering sunny skies daily. The island is known for its black lava rocks and white sandy beaches. Its capital, Las Palmas is popular for cruises and duty-free shopping. Maspalomas in the South tends to be more quiet (besides the crazy carnival season in early spring) and offers lots of bio-diversity.

As the couple didn’t mind a hike, in fact, they preferred it, we focused on Roque Nuble National Park, a stunning Unesco-protected natural area that offers views that are out of this world. We of course gave the couple a hand, driving them as close to the peaks as we could. The couple then embarked on a small hike and changed into their wedding attire once they reached the top. Now, it was time to say their vows. The celebrant guided them mindfully through the ceremony and soon after they had their first kiss as a married couple. Then, the photo shoot of their lives began. The photographer - Aljosa from El Momento Perfecto, was unstoppable, running through the mountains to get the perfect shots of our loving couple. Explore their gallery to see these stunning shots, but be warned that after you see them, you might just get married in the Canaries too!
