Suzanne & James’s Love Story
Suzanne and James lived in the same floor of an apartment building in Pennsylvania for over a year. James quickly noticed Suzanne and tried to make some advances over that time. But Suzanne had decided that the next man she was with needed to make a big impression. Suzanne had 3 dogs at the time, but James particularly loved one of them named Rosy. In August 2021, James left a post-it note on Suzanne's apartment door asking if she had a dog sitter. Suzanne was of course able to help and the conversation sparks started flowing.
Suzanne likes to say that James literally landed on her doorstep because once they started talking, it was clear there was a spark and it was like they’d known each other forever. James asked Suzanne to hang out and Suzanne replied with: “Sure, but it’ll be interesting as I'm moving to Florida in two weeks." James immediately replied, "You can't do that." Suzanne said, "Oh, and why is that?" And James said, "Because I need to take you to dinner”.
They exchanged numbers and before James had gotten to his door down the hall, they already started texting. They fell in love rather quickly. Suzanne extended her lease in Pennsylvania and canceled her move to Florida. A few weeks after they began dating they moved into a beautiful house together. Their connection deepened with James being a rock for Suzanne through the death of two of her dogs. They’ve also traveled together quite a bit, visiting Turks & Caicos, Greece, and Costa Rica. They've spent time with each others' families, and Suzanne has accompanied James on most of his work trips.
They both feel they can talk about anything and enjoy doing everything together. For them, the key has been allowing the other to be an individual without trying to change each other. As Suzanne puts it, “I wouldn’t want to change a thing about James, even if that makes him imperfect, as if I would he wouldn't be who he is which could mean we wouldn’t have ended up together”.
Suzanne & James’s Wedding Elopement
Suzanne and James eloped in Italy, on the beautiful island of Sardinia. This felt like the perfect choice, given that they both love the country and that James has some Sardinian blood in him. Our elopement planners organized the most beautiful schedule and luckily the weather complied as well.
Suzanne and James had their getting-ready photos taken in their honeymoon suite at Villa Las Tronas Hotel & Spa. Suzanne decided to bring in a hair & makeup artist who came right into their suite and ensured that Suzanne looked nothing short of spectacular with her natural look. After the first look at the hotel gardens, we took the couple through the oldest part of the city for a walk and some gelato.
We then took the couple to Porticciolo, where we hosted their wedding ceremony on the cliffy coastline, with the sun setting in the background. After the ceremony, the elopement photographer and videographer took a few more shots to mark the couple’s special day. Then we drove back the couple to their accommodation where a newlywed feast was waiting for them upon their arrival.
Take a look at their wedding video and gallery and get inspired!
